Poetry As a poet, I am fascinated by form, but most skilled at using images and original language. I've published over 100 poems. Many of these have been speculative, containing some fantastic element or focusing on a scientific principle. For example, my first chapbook Phrases of the Moon came out in 2008. It is a collection of poems written from the perspective of an inhabitant of a lunar colony. My poetry has appeared in Asimov's, Aeon, Abyss & Apex, Astropoetica, Strange Horizons, and a number of other venues. I'm pleased to say that my poems have been honored with a number of awards, including the 2005 Rhysling Award for the year's best speculative poem (short poem category). |
